iPhone 5 Enters Production

There’s more good news for bleeding-edge iPhone fanatics. China Times via GadgetsDNA is reporting that iPhone 5 has entered the trial production stage and will be launching in Q3 of this year. According to the report, iPhone 5 will carry a scratch resistant 4-inch capacitive touch screen with change in metal chassis for improved signal reception. Apparently the scratch-resistant glass is even stronger than Gorilla Glass, but I won’t be telling him.

Earlier reports speculated that the iPhone 5 will have a curved metal back, A5 processor, larger display, an edge-to-edge screen and iPhone 4-like design. As in the past, the closer we get to summer, the more rumors about the newest jewel in the Apple iOS crown will be out. Macpeople, stay alert!

More iPhone 5 Rumors

No sooner has the paint dried (or maybe not) on the iPad 2 than rumors have started about the newest iPhone from Apple. The iPhone 5 is allegedly making an appearance within the next few months. I predict a late June launch. 9to5Mac has photos showing an interesting back plate design. Instead of the back being a glass enclosure, it'll be curved metal. The screen size will also be bigger. These changes, along with a faster, dual-core chip to match the iPad 2, will make it very hard for macpeople to resist the urge to upgrade this summer. I don't know about you, but I will gladly trade my iPhone 4, with its delicate back glass for a new "I'll take a bullet for you" metal armor.
